NEW Comm. Visit to the Old Folks Home

Yuppieee...it was a momentous Sunday. Well, I'm refering to the charity outing with NEW community members on 29th July 2007. Yes, we had a few outings before this but this is the most meaningful one since we are starting to have charity activities to fulfill the main objectives of the NEW community.

Instead of going around the city..shopping, gaigai at those shopping malls .. I went to visit the old folks with the community members. Oh yaa...mummy went together too =) . The old folks home is located at kajang, named as Rumah Love and Care. New Comm. got to know about this place from James Wong (the famous local actor). A biggie THANKS to him for leading us there!!

We reached there at around 3 something. Thank God for sunny day which make things easier for us. The residents of Rumah Care and Love sat ouside the house and wait for our arrival. They looked happy when they saw us. We walked around to greet them and shoke their warm wrinkled hands.

Hey, look at this photo...

Can you see the white shirt + white pants guy who claps his hands?

He is NOT one of the old folks but one of the residents at that place. He is only erm...30 something, if i'm not mistaken. It is sad to say that he is suffering from down syndrome = ( . Anyway, he sang in front of us..kewL, ain't he?

I brought Echo along to visit the old folks home too. She was so kind and generous that she wanted to do charity through sponsoring all the fees of the Antioxidant scanning for the old folks. Usually, it costs RM15 per person. Since she wanted to do charity, she has to pay for the number of cert/form which have been used on that day. Besides, she also gave free scanning to the NEW Comm. members..WOW~ Echo, thanks a lot ya'!!

Actually, we were there to visit them and to let them know that there are still people who care for them. With the hope that, they'll feel better and happier since they aren't the forgotten ones.
There's a "popo" who is only 50+ , currently in the 4th stage of cancer. I was really sad to know about her situation..but..sigh...what can I do~ Lavin told me that the "popo" doesn't have any idea of the whereabouts of her 2 children..It was her friend whom sent her to this Rumah Love and Care. Doctor mentioned that this "popo" might be away from this world in anytime. SOBSOB...so sad, isn't it? She's so pity..I wonder where are her 2 children!! In which corner or which LUBANG!! on the earth huh?!?

Guys and gals, we really need to appreciate what our parents have done for us. Acknowledge the love and care which they give us. They sacrifice and take care of us with their lives..Why can't we take care of them when they are old? Show our love to them and let them know that they are appreciated. Do our best so that we won't regret at the end.
